Help the Arnold's After Larry's Accident
Donation protected
Hello, I'm Jessica and I'm fundraising on behalf of Larry & Amy Arnold (my much beloved in-law's). If you were not aware, Larry had an accident at work 3 months ago. He severed his fingertip on his right index finger (on his dominant hand). Although these injuries tend to heal over several weeks, the initial repair was done poorly and he was left with no option but to amputate this past week. He has had three months of intense pain and other symptoms of a non-healing injury. Luckily, he was able to be finally treated by a reputable surgeon and he had his amputation surgery this past week.
The company he was working for also employed Amy at the same time. To literally add insult to injury, they let her go soon after Larry was injured at work. She has been unable to secure employment in her field or any other positions that allow her to be home for the kids before and after school while Larry continues his healing. Their future is uncertain as Larry has lost his ability to weld for the foreseeable future. While worker's comp pays a portion of what his salary was, it is not enough to cover their bills. They have exhausted their savings these last few months paying their mortgage, other bills, and driving Larry three hours away and back for appointments/surgery.
They temporarily need assistance to stay afloat until a settlement is reached for Larry and Amy is able to find employment in the area. Amy is selling her jewelry and Barbie collectibles on Facebook to make the ends meet, but those are niche collectibles and I don't think any of us want to take her belongings from her. She will not ask for assistance, so I am doing it for her.
Please know that any amount helps and many hands will make light work (pun intended). If you can't donate, please share. Let's make sure this hard-working family man doesn't lose more than just his finger.
All donations go directly to Larry and Amy via transfer from GoFundMe to their bank account.
Thank you and Happy Holidays and good health to all,
Jessica
