Help Family in Gaza with 3 Children as Young as 5
Donation protected
Hi everyone, my name is Sarah and I am
from Austin. I am fundraising for my friends in Gaza. The Ayman Abu Raida family had to flee their home and their farm in Khuza'a, which was their only source of income.
Ziad, age 5, before the genocide
Over the last couple months, I have become friends with 3 of the siblings. Rawan, who is 24 graduated as a nurse only days before the genocide began. Tawfiq, 17 and Tamer, 15 are both students and soccer players. They are big fans of Argentine player, Lionel Messi. Tamer told me he wants to become like him when he grows up. Their youngest brother, Zaid is 5 years old. Zaid is the jokester of the family. And he looks up to his older brothers and sister.
Ziad, age 5, six month into the genocide
The Ayman Abu Raida family are now having to rely on the international community so they can afford food and basic necessities. We have set a goal of $4,000, because of inflation due to the blockade on Gaza and because, unfortunately we do not know how much longer this will go on. We will be transferring funds from the gofundme to the family’s account every few days.

We so appreciate any donation, no matter how small. Small amounts add up! So if you can only spare $1, please let that be what you donate today.

From Tamer:
My family is from the Gaza Strip. This war has caused destruction, grief, loss, and unimaginable conditions for us. We are a family of 8 people. My father, Ayman, 50 years old, My mother, Sonia, 47 years old, My brother, Muhammad, 25 years old, My sister, Rawan, 24 years old, My brother, Bilal, 22 years old, My brother, Tawfiq, 17 years old, Tamer Ard, 15 years old, My brother, Ziad, 5 years old. We had a quiet life. We worked in agriculture which provided money, food, and treatment. We studied at school and university, but the war upended our lives. It took away our source of livelihood and work, destroyed our home and agricultural land from which we sold vegetables, and destroyed [access to] education.
