We had set the mood with green lights and fantastic happy hour deals, including $2 green PBR draft beers, $1 wings, and $1 green tea shots. The community was in high spirits and ready for a memorable night. However, at 2:40 AM, I received a distressing call from a customer who claimed The Bar(n) was on fire. Initially, I thought it was just excitement about the upcoming events. But soon after, Lawrence, our building maintenance manager, confirmed the alarming news. Living in this close-knit community, I rushed to the scene as quickly as possible, only to witness The Bar(n) engulfed in flames. It was a devastating and terrifying sight. As we anxiously awaited the conclusion of the investigation, we reviewed camera footage and discovered the cause: the Comcast internet router had burst into flames, causing extensive damage to The Bar(n). This incident has left us heartbroken and uncertain about the future. What pains me even more is thinking about our dedicated staff members who rely on The Bar(n) as their primary source of income. Despite having insurance policies and adjusters in place, the timeline for rebuilding and reopening remains uncertain.
