Help the Beardsley Family thru a Difficult Loss

We are sad to announce the unexpected passing of one of the garage door industry's finest, Ted Beardsley on Friday, October 8th, 2021. Ted spent most of his adult life in the garage door industry. He excelled at all aspects within the industry, from building one-piece doors right in the driveway of new homes for Gary Singley and Garage Door Center to fitting fire stations with updated equipment for Door-Mart. He was particularly proud of satisfying tens of thousands of residential customers throughout his beloved career. As he would always say, “Don’t worry, I can make a garage door dance” when a worried customer explained their emergency and the apparent complexity of the fix….and he did just that!

Ted was always willing to go the extra mile and would train and mentor new garage door rookies with his great experience and wealth of information. He was a true grit cowboy with a big, soft heart. As tough as he was, he would always have the time or method to make a fellow employee, customer, or vendor feel good about their troubles.

Besides an industry that will miss Ted greatly, he leaves behind a loving wife, Lynn, a loving daughter Jennifer and his beloved grandkids. As with most unexpected losses, the surviving family will be faced with some difficult financial times to go along with their broken hearts.
