Rebecca is no stranger to pain; in fact, it has been a long and constant battle

When she was in high school her back began to hurt. Her parents took her to the doctor, and it was determined that she had scoliosis. But she wouldn’t allow that diagnosis to define her. She knew God has a purpose for everything, and Rebecca’s love for God gave her strength and perseverance to find a way to live her life in as normal a manner as possible. But the pain was always there, in the background, slowly eating away at her.

By God’s grace, she was able to live like this for nineteen years. She got married, had children, and lived her life, all the while hiding her pain. She became so successful at masking it her husband, kids and family would forget she was in a constant battle against the pain her body inflicted upon her. Over the years she saw several doctors, but nothing conclusive was ever found. But the pain was spreading, ever so slowly, and increasing in severity. In the fall of 2020, the pain finally broke through her guise of a normal life.
Rebecca’s pain became so severe and so constant she could no longer work. In fact, she could no longer move without agony. After having an MRI, it was found her spine had a herniated disk and a torn disk, which were adding to the anguish she’d lived with for so many years. The doctors recommended physical therapy, but that only made the pain worse. Pain medications only masked part of the pain and caused far more side effects. Then her doctors recommended a steroid injection to which she had an almost immediate allergic reaction. Not only did nothing help, but most of the attempts also made the pain worse.
By the summer of 2021, Rebecca felt defeated, and any ideas of getting relief, let alone living a normal life, seemed impossible. Hopelessness blanketed her, and she lived with a constant reminder that life isn’t supposed to be this way. She wanted to live, enjoy her family, be the kind of mom her kids needed, and to be the person God called her to be. That was when He led her to the Spero Clinic.

The Spero Clinic specializes in chronic pain reduction. They have an intensive twelve-to-sixteen-week program designed to help patients overcome pain – even the kind considered to be uncurable.
That blanket of defeat and hopelessness has been lifted: her start date at the clinic is set for the fall of 2022. While she and her family continue to pray for healing, they want to be proactive in the journey and they need your help to get there. The treatment at the Spero Clinic is not covered by insurance, and to compound that cost, her husband will have to take leave from work while she is there. It has been a long road, and there is a mountain ahead. We ask for your prayers. If you feel lead, any donation is greatly appreciated.

Please be part of helping the Beech family become whole again.
