Help the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Billerica

For those of you who know me, I have dedicated my life to helping children and families who need support to make their lives better. I am not ignorant to the fact that, during this unprecedented time, many of you have causes you are dedicating your time, money, and virtual positivity to. By no means do I expect you to donate to my cause but, for those of you who understand the importance the Boys and Girls Clubs provides for families, or have been moved by being a part of one of our clubs, I sincerely ask you to consider helping me to help this organization. The idea of some of our families not having food, medical care, or loved ones to be there for them in this time of anxiety and depression keeps me up every night. As someone who thrives to make this world a better place, it is so frustrating that I can't go out and serve my community in an in-person fashion. I know my responsibility is to stay home, and I will continue to do so but, it breaks my heart that I can't be out there fighting this invisible villain.  For all of you who are supporting our first responders, I applaud you. Please know that my mission is to help provide funds for the club so, when the time comes, we can be prepared to welcome back our children, families, and staff in the safest way possible. We have made the decision, early on, to close the club in order to ensure the health and safety of our community. As the world moves towards reopening, the club will be focused on welcoming back our families and staff, as soon as it is safe to do so. With the guidance of the local government, we will open in a fashion that is safe and responsible. To do this, we know many of our families may need support with childcare while they get back to work. We also know we will have to invest in protective, safety supplies in order to keep our community members safe.  All money raised through your generous donations will go to helping the club open as soon as we can. I know the importance of the services provided by the Boys and Girls Club and know, that with your financial help, we can get the club back up and running without a delay.   Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
