Help the Brewer Family Recover from Marshall Fire

My Name is Amber Braxton and I am helping Bronwyn set up this fundraiser to help her and her family recover from the Marshall Fire.

 

Bronwyn and her 3 children (all under 18) have been displaced from their home due to the catastrophic Marshall Fire in Louisville, CO that tore through their town on December 30, 2021. The evacuation came without much notice, and Madalynne was home alone at the time, with no means to escape. She was scared, but brave as she hurried to collect their family pets. Bronwyn was working in Denver and was terrified she could not get home in time to evacuate Madalynne and the pets – roads had already been blocked. With the help of police officers, Madalynne was able to evacuate just in time – along with the family pets, to a rendezvous point, air thick with toxic smoke. Needless to say, they are not the only family that will be dealing with PTSD from this event. If you can, please donate so at least their financial burdens will be lessened.

 

We are all so grateful that the Brewer family has been safely reunited, pets and all, however, this is an extremely very challenging time for them all. The severe smoke damage is resulting in them needing to not only find a new home, but also replace a large amount of their belongings. Bronwyn’s oldest daughter has asthma, and other medical conditions of other family members also prevent them from being able to safely live in the place they were so grateful to call home. Bronwyn's business and source of income is greatly affected by the Marshall Fire as well, as it was run out of her home. This family has endured trauma after trauma in the past few years, and this experience is the toughest yet. They are grieving the loss of their home, their community, and trying to recreate the loving home they had.

 

Many people have been reaching out, asking in what way they can help the family during this time, which is why we have started this fundraiser. Bronwyn and her children are some of the most caring and selfless people  that I know and that I am privileged to call friends. I urge you to help me rally behind them and show them support in the face of this devastating loss, giving them help financially to help ease some of the stress they are feeling.
