Help the British Junior Gliding Team to Victory in Slovakia!

The Junior Team will be participating in the 7th FAI Junior European Gliding Championships 2025 in Prievidza, Slovakia. This prestigious event will bring together the best under-26 glider pilots from around Europe, competing for the title of European Champion.

Our talented team members for this competition are Jordan Johnson and George Downing in Club Class. Oliver Ramsay and Oscar Butlin will represent the team in the Standard Class. These young pilots are eager to compete on the international stage, flying against the fastest junior pilots while making the UK gliding community proud.

Unfortunately Gliding is one of very few sports that doesn’t receive any funding from UK governing bodies and these events can be incredibly expensive. Our Junior pilots are either at university or apprentices in their chosen career pathway with family who are unable to provide any financial support due to personal circumstances and so are launching a crowdfunding campaign to ask the Gliding and General Aviation community for any help possible! 

We need to ensure our pilots have access to the necessary resources for training, travel, and competition expenses. Your contribution will be crucial to their success.

£200 - Cover a pilot's British Gliding Team uniform

£400 - Cover a return ferry ticket to Europe with a trailer
