Help the Brooks family keep Blue!

Hi Friends! The Brooks family could use some help!

As many of you know, their three young adult children, living at home, all have varying degrees of autism. One thing that has made such a huge positive difference is having a family dog, Their beloved dog of 12 years, Sugar, has grown up with them and has now passed of old age.

They are in desperate need to find another dog who will be gentle, provide companionship and support. Wesley, their 23 year old, relies on a dog companion, in so many ways. His very best friend was his dog, Sugar, they were rarely apart.

Their youngest is highly impacted with autism and has no fear of dogs and no understanding that not all dogs are like their dog that passed. She's not little anymore, a full grown adult, and loves to run full speed up to the dog as their way of playing. They need another dog who will be safe with her.

The family has found the perfect match but they need your help! He's an almost five month old Australian Labradoodle, named Blue, and is exceptionally calm and smart! The breeder allowed them to bring him home and he's the perfect fit for the family. They are in awe of how well he is doing with Abbey. Their hope was that he would bond with Wes and learn to keep his distance from Abbey, but Abbey loves him! Blue makes Abbey smile and giggle, sometimes even distracting her from times when she's struggling and starting to cry! They just can't believe how special he is. He's bonded with them all, even helping Melissa with her stress of raising her exceptional kids.

The family needs to raise the funds for the puppy. He's been trained and will continue to be trained to be a loved, valuable member of the family, providing much needed companionship and support.

The cost to adopt Blue is $3,200 as he is a Standard Multigenerational Australian Labradoodle. The breed is well known for being trained as therapy, companion and support dogs.
