Walt Bryde is the man we all know as the brightest light in the room and a loving husband to Kari and a wonderful father to Jameson and Ellison. In July 2018, Walt was diagnosed with gastric (esophagus and stomach) cancer. Walt,Kari,and Ellison relocated to Bradenton, FL to battle this unforgiving disease together as a family. They have endured numerous surgeries, multiple hospitalizations, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and he has been on countless oral medications.
Despite Walt’s relentless ability to fight this disease with his special humorous personality we all know and love,Walt entered hospice care in June of 2019 and is near the end of his fight. During these final days, Kari is the primary caregiver and continues to take care of the family and household in Florida.
The family has good insurance to help with medical expenses, but there is always out of pocket expenses. The family also took on the expense of moving to Florida in November and now has the added funeral expenses and the expense of moving back to Arkansas after Walt’s battle is over.
