Let's care for Cabrera!

Our beloved Principal Cabrera and her three sons have been deeply impacted by the wildfires in Altadena. While her house still stands, it's the only remaining house on the street. She feels so grateful that it is still intact, but there is a long road ahead. With no electricity or water expected back to the area for a long time, and it standing in an incredibly toxic environment, she has no idea when she will be able to go home. And this is where we come in.

Rebecca Cabrera has been a part of Gardner Street for 25 years as an educator and principal. Her sons have attended this school too. Gardner holds a huge part of her heart and it's time she sees that she holds a large part of ours. She is our selfless leader who takes care of our students and we need to rally together as a community to take care of her. We hope you will donate and share far and wide to help her get through the long months ahead. Every single dollar will help - especially when we all do this together.

Many are reaching out to ask on how to support Rebecca Cabrera and her boys, who have been deeply impacted by the recent devastating Altadena fires. Although Rebecca’s house was one the only home left on her block that survived in one direction and one of 3 in the other, the destruction in her neighborhood has left her displaced and facing overwhelming challenges.

Rebecca has always been a loving friend, family member, and dedicated LAUSD educator willing to help anyone in need.
