Help the Castiglione’s Rebuild After the Fire
Donation protected
Hi everyone. My name is Dayne Ford and I’d love to band together and help the Castiglione family recover from their recent house fire.
First, a little about them. These folks have the biggest hearts and have given back to the Sarasota community for as long as I can remember — from making sure local kids don’t go without Christmas presents to giving teachers free garage service, and showing up to help when you someone needs it most.
Last weekend while Gaetano “G” was out of town, his wife and kids woke up to their son’s bedroom on fire at 6am. The wall had opened up and the fire started to spread, filling the house with smoke. Lindsay was able to get both kids and Reese their dog out safely before the smoke filled the rest of the house. The fire department got on scene but it took a ton of water, including spraying the structure and roof rafters of the house. Long story short, most if not all of the house appears to be a total loss.
Unfortunately, the insurance company has just told them the policy doesn’t cover personal belongings and I’m sure it’s going to be a fight to get the rebuild covered adequately. Especially since they still have a siding damage claim from Hurricane Ian.
Let’s help them out and give back to a family who is always giving!
Ps. G told me he didn’t want this, but having considered them family for the last 14 years I needed to. He said if I went ahead anyway he would give every penny they don’t need back to the community. That’s a testament to who he is!
Here’s some of the fire damage:
