Help The Chad McClendon Family

This past Christmas Eve my husband was hit by a car while riding his motorcycle. once at the hospital he had to have emergency surgery. On Christmas morning I sat with our 2 children while he was in his second surgery. A specialist had to take over because the damage to his left foot was so bad. The specialist wanted to amputate his foot, we told him please try to save it. He told us he would try but he could loose it at any time during his recovery. Once we heard the doctor thought the best thing for Chad was to cut his foot off i went to the hospital chapel to pray. As i was praying a peace came over me and in that moment i knew Chad would not have to have an amputation. Six surgeries, a broken shoulder, a plate and 4 screws in his leg, 3 bolts and one screw in his foot, and he gets to keep his foot. Thank you God! We spent Christmas, New Years, and our son's 16th birthday in the hospital, a total of 2 & 1/2 weeks.
At this point the hospital bill is well over $500,000.00 we don't have health insurance and the guy who hit Chad only had state minimum and that doesn't even cover our first night at the hospital. The hospital was refusing to do all of the surgeries until we paid a few thousand dollars upfront. This wreck was not Chad's fault, the guy who hit him said he thought he ran over the curb. Because of someone not paying attention our children could have lost their father. We spent the holiday season in the hospital, and we've spent our savings trying to keep the lights on. Chad is still in a wheelchair and unable to work. His injuries are still healing, we're praying he'll start physical therapy soon.
We still have a long road ahead of us, but we don't know how we're going to keep the lights on. If you can spare a little to help a man who would be happy to help you, please donate. If you can't and you'd like to help please share with everybody you know. We want to thank you in advance for any donations, prayers and shares.
