Help The Cloutiers Grow Their Family!

Hi and welcome all!
We first off want to thank you for taking the time to read our story and consider helping us. Though it is still being written and this doesn’t tell it all, we hope that this brief encounter with each other will manifest into us growing our family through the beautiful adventure of ADOPTION!!
We are the Cloutiers, San Diego-based family of 3, hoping to expand our family to 4 with your kind assistance! We are a compassionate and energetic group - find us making music in our home, climbing the mountains of east county, or enjoying the water and waves of the ocean! We believe in tackling life with tenacity, communicating when you don’t feel like it, and prioritizing mutual respect and empathy.
Like many families’ stories on the journey to adoption, ours has been one filled with grief and loss. On April 16th of 2023, we lost our daughter Layla Grace, after Miranda and Baby Layla underwent weeks of hospitalization due to pregnancy-related complications. We began to question the likeliness that we would ever be able to bring a child into this world. Such feelings of grief, sadness, and hopelessness do get better, but they don’t go away entirely.
It is without a doubt that much of our self-discovery came from learning more about the adoption process. It gave us a light and point of view into the concept of ‘parenting’ and what it means to bring a life into your family.
In our journey through pregnancy, loss, and self discovery, we have come to realize that there truly are silver linings in the grayest of skies. While we naturally yearn deeply to give our love and energy to a little one that we can raise ourselves, we also recognize that there are communities and people who cannot provide that nurturing that a young life needs. And so when we began taking our first deliberate steps in this process, we immediately saw that beautiful silver lining that this chapter of our journey emphasized.
It is with our most humble regards and sincere gratitude that we ask of your assistance in getting us to our goal of $20,000 to help cover associated fees of adoration, and help #thecloutiersgrow!!!
Whether we reach our goal, come short, or entirely fall flat with this platform - we SINCERELY thank you for your time and any/all support that you might generously bestow.
Yours,
Miranda, Keahi, and Jake
