Hello friends and family! As many of you know, Chase has been in the hospital since Tuesday, January 21, 2020 fighting for his life. What started out as complications from the flu, quickly turned into strep pneumonia, sepsis, rhabdomyolysis, empyema, and more along the way.
On Monday, February 03, 2020, Chase had a three hour surgery to repair his lungs. He now has three chest turbes and so far has drained 650mL from his lungs. His surgeon said this was the worst case of empyema he has ever seen. They also had to cauterize his lung because he developed and "orange peel" substance on his lungs.
As of right now, there are no plans of Chase leaving the hospital anytime soon.
His wife, Lindsay, is doing all that she can do maintain some sort of normalcy for their two beautiful children. Please continue to keep them in your prayers as Chase has a long road ahead of him. I know they would appreciate any donations.
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." Deuteronomy 31:6
