Help the continued build of Soul Food Paradise
Donation protected
Being raised in the inner city of the South Bronx and growing up to be a business owner is completely a dream come true.Through hard work and dedication I was able to relocate and create a new life for myself and my family in Maine. I have been able to successfully launch Soul Food Paradise, the state's first ever soul food restaurant. I was able to successfully be a part of community events, employ locals and add a new flare to dinner. Unfortunately, due to various plumbing and electrical issues at my first location In the Maine Mall I had to close. During this time I humbly ask the community to donate and help us get to our goal of $18,000 towards the rebuild of Soul Food Paradise new location in Portland located in the heart of downtown at 24 Pebble Street.
A downtown location will help the business showcase it's diversity and growth especially being the only African American soul food restaurant in Cumberland county surrounding area.
We want to continue to serve the community and continue our free cookout initiatives as the summer approaches. We want to continue to partner with local nonprofits to provide food for community events throughout Portland. We want to continue our Annual holiday events and a new space will be helpful. WIth a brick and mortar we were able to give homeless people employment opportunities and meals.
We ask you for your monetary donation so we can get back to serving our community.
