Dear Napa & Northwood Friends,

John and Barb Corna (Mrs. Corna to the Northwood community), beloved lifelong members of the Napa Valley community and devoted public servants (firefighter and teacher) tragically lost their family home in Soda Canyon in the devastating and fast-moving Atlas fire on Sunday evening and early Monday morning. They were able to escape to safety with only a few personal items and have lost everything to the fire. Their specific needs are as yet undetermined, but we want to reassure our dear friends that they have the full support of the entire Northwood and greater Napa communities to help them persevere through this incredibly difficult time of need, to find a place to live and to rebuild. Thank you for supporting Barb and John in any way you can. This donation account was created and is monitored by Sarah Knox, Principal at Northwood Elementary School in the Napa Valley Unified School District, the school at which Barb Corna works and where she is adored by all. All funds raised will go directly to the Cornas who are set as the monetary beneficiaries of this donation campaign to help offset costs related to rebuilding their home and replacing belongings lost in the fire.
