Hello, my name is Judy and I’m a friend and colleague of Alvaro. I’m setting up this GoFundMe to support Alvaro and his family as they navigate through this overwhelming loss.

Below is what Alvaro wanted to share in his own words:

“On the night of January 7th, our lives changed forever. My name is Alvaro, and my family, my wife Silvina, our three daughters Emily, Sarah, and Rain, and our beloved dog Tony escaped with only the clothes on our backs and a few essential documents as the Eaton Fire forced us to evacuate.

What once felt unimaginable is now our reality, we’ve lost our home, our belongings, and even my commuter car to the flames. The life we built has been reduced to ashes, and while we are deeply grateful that we are all safe, we now face the overwhelming challenge of starting over from scratch.

Each of us has only a few changes of clothes and the barest necessities. We are humbly asking for help from our community to begin rebuilding our lives. Your contributions will help us through this challenging time. We're seeking support to cover unexpected costs and get back on our feet. These funds will assist with needs that might not be fully covered by other sources of aid. Your help will allow us to address the many aspects of recovery and support my family through this crisis.
