Help the Cowarts rebuild after losing everything to mold

Donation protected
The Cowarts have lost almost every possessions they have after finding out they had mold in their home. They have left their home but will have to replace everything they lost. Hear more about their story from Aaron:

For the past 6 years I have dealt with a wide range of health issues that I could never figure out. Then Hannah Mae and our children began having issues as well. After years of searching for answers, a sweet friend mentioned the possibility of mold as the root cause. We began investigation this in November of last year. I started by doing a mycotoxin test (the specific toxins released by mold) to see if I had any signs of mold in my body. I did two tests spread a couple months apart, and they both came back extremely high for mold. We then got our home tested, and that also came back extremely high. We then started a journey of remediation that took us to February. By this point we had replaced our entire hvac system and ducting. We tore out both bathrooms down to the ground and redid them completely. At that point we were told that our home should be good to go and we moved on. But with continued health issues we knew we needed to explore further. By the grace of God we were connected with a family that has been through this exact thing before that gave us all the resources we needed. Through many discussions with them, as well as with our professional remediators, we were highly advised to leave our home and never return. This is the heartbreaking story of so many people who have walked this road before with mold. Many have spent time in our home the past 5 years with no issues at all, but our family has become so allergic to the specific mold we have lived in that there is no amount of cleaning that will ever get our home and our belongings completely free from our allergen. It’s like we have developed a severe peanut allergy, and our home is covered with invisible peanut dust.

So with that information, and after months of trying everything possible, this past Monday we came to the very difficult decision that we needed to take drastic measures to prioritize the health of ourselves and our children. So we left our home with a few basic necessities to never come back. We will be carefully cleaning a few things (some clothes, small kitchen appliances, dishes, utensils) that will come with us as well as a few precious keepsakes that will have to stay sealed in plastic containers to avoid contamination of our next home. The other 98% of everything we own will be thrown away. We will be staying for the next couple months in a home that was generously offered to us by dear friends while we get back on our feet. Once our home is empty, we will have it professionally inspected and tested to make sure it is ready for sale. We are very thankful to have already done almost all remediation necessary to make the home safe for whoever buys it, but unfortunately we have become too sensitive for it to ever be safe for us. From there, we have no idea what comes next. We don’t know where we will live, or how we will afford to replace all the things we’ve lost. But we trust the Lord completely that He will take care of us, so we don’t worry about our future. He has not promised us anything for certain in this life other than Himself, and that is more than enough. The last few years have consistently reminded us through so much loss that our hope cannot lie in anything other than the kingdom of God. We thank God for the opportunity to draw closer to Him; increasing our dependency on Him and decreasing our faith in our own abilities. We continue to seek His face and long for his return. “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
