Help The Crew of Underdogs Too
Donation protected
In the early morning hours of December 15th, 2020, Underdogs Too suffered a severe fire in our kitchen. We are not yet sure of the cause, but we suspect it may have been an electrical issue in the ceiling. An intense blaze broke out which totally destroyed our kitchen, and severely damaged the ceiling, walls, equipment, and inventory. Luckily nobody was in the building so there were no injuries, but fire, smoke, and water damage has rendered the business inoperable for the foreseeable future. The damage is more extensive than my insurance can cover (assuming they actually accept the claim).
Furthermore, it could not have come at a worse time for our wonderful employees, as we were restricted to takeout only due to the new Shelter In Place orders. They had been cut down to extremely limited hours, and are now left jobless in a horrible job market for our industry.
Our hearts have been filled by the outpouring of love and support we have received from our customers, neighbors, and friends. We truly appreciate all your messages and well wishes. Many of you have asked how you can help and if there is a place for donations, so we have set up this GoFundMe.
First and foremost, we are looking for contributions for our employees so that we can pay them through the holidays. Any excess funds will go towards repair of Underdogs Too.
This has been a terrible 2020 for all of us, and I know times are difficult right now, so any small contribution helps!
Thank you,
-The Underdogs Too team
