Help the Cruz Family Honor Grandpa Jesus Cruz's Memory

Jesus Cruz Ocampo was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and son. He battled with cancer for a decade, never losing the hope and joy in his eyes. Our beloved grandfather was a strong warrior who fought with fervor til the very end against cancer in his lungs, shoulder, head, and hip. Ultimately, kidney failure led to his demise. He lived with honesty, love, and valor; always lighting up a room with his laugh and sense of humor. He leaves behind his loving wife, Sofia, whom he was married to for 55 years. No one ever wants to be in the position to seek financial support publicly, but under the current circumstances my family and I have encountered the need to do so. Though we are currently learning to accept and cope with his loss, we need to act now and plan his funeral. From May 31st to June 2nd, we will be fundraising via food sales on the Northwest side of Chicago and we welcome any donations of taco meat or other food items.
