Help the Culinary Cannabis Community amid COVID-19

We are heartbroken to see the impact the Covid-19 outbreak has had on professionals working in the culinary cannabis space. While we are pleased to see California’s municipalities are allowing the ongoing sale of cannabis and have deemed dispensary operations essential businesses, the culinary cannabis community, like mainstream hospitality operators, are suffering from loss of income and financial instability during this time. Cannabis chefs bring people together for meaningful experiences around the dining table. With cancellations leaving cannabis chefs, businesses, and event producers out of work for the foreseeable future, this community needs your support more than ever.
In many ways, cannabis chefs have become the faces of the cannabis industry. Their work has encouraged the mainstream normalization of cannabis through television content, national magazine covers, and ongoing editorial interest and opportunities. These professionals have worked for many years to find ways to support the cannabis industry through their advocacy and education, and we believe that they are essential ambassadors for the cannabis community at large. It is time for the cannabis community to give back to these pillars of our industry. While brands and dispensaries are seeing record sales, these individuals and small businesses are suffering great financial loss, with no end in sight.
Crop to Kitchen is a not-for-profit trade advocacy group working to support the culinary cannabis industry, and now, more than ever, we need your help. We have launched a GoFundMe to raise money for culinary cannabis professionals negatively impacted by Covid-19. 100 percent of the funds raised during this fundraiser will go directly to cannabis chefs and small businesses in need.
If you are a cannabis chef whose business has been negatively impacted by the coronavirus outbreak, please email [email redacted]. Crop to Kitchen will equally divide funds raised between all qualifying chefs.
If you are a brand or cannabis business who would like to learn more about supporting this initiative or our larger mission to advocate for culinary cannabis, please [email redacted].
