Help the Currington Family Through Crisis

My name is Laura Stanley. I would like to share my story. My sister, Tara Currington and brother-in-law, Russell Currington currently live in Little River, SC with their two children, Alexis and Connor. Their lives have been turned upside down which started at the beginning of this April. Russell is very ill at this time and his only hope for survival is a liver transplant.

On April 19, Russell was admitted to MUSC Hospital in Charleston, SC. He currently remains in the hospital and has been approved by the transplant committee for a new liver. He has been placed on a waitlist. We are praying that he will receive a new liver soon.

As you can imagine, there will be so many medical expenses throughout this entire process. From medical bills that insurance does not cover to the costs of medications. There will also be expenses for lodging and food as my sister will need to be with him throughout the entire hospitalization. Once Russell is discharged from the hospital, they are required to remain in Charleston for at least 3 weeks to be closely monitored and for daily medical appointments during the week.
