Help the Cyr’s Rebuild After Devastating Flood

Dear friends and compassionate souls,

My name is Mercedes and I am reaching out today with a heavy heart to share the story of my sister, Shelby, and her family, who are facing an unimaginable crisis. Today, their home was hit by a severe flood, leaving the water waist-deep and destroying almost everything they cherished inside. As they wade through the aftermath, they are grappling with not only the loss of their belongings but also the overwhelming stress of rebuilding the inside of their home.

Shelby is a wonderful mother to her vibrant 4-year-old daughter, Eleanor. Like any parent, she always strives to provide a loving and nurturing environment for her. Unfortunately, the flood took away all of her toys, her comfort items, and the safe space where she played and learned.

While Shelby and her husband have insurance, it is insufficient to cover the extensive damages and losses they’ve endured. They will need to find temporary housing while their home dries out and repairs are made, an expense that is already causing them significant stress. The burden of replacing furniture, clothing, and, most importantly, Eleanor’s toys and comfort items weighs heavily on their shoulders.

What makes this situation even more difficult is that Shelby has no idea I am setting up this GoFundMe for her. She is always the first to jump in and help others, offering support and love without hesitation. Now, it’s our turn to be there for her. I want to alleviate some of the financial pressure they are facing during this incredibly challenging time.
