Support the Dawood Family in Their Time of Need
The Dawood family is facing an unimaginable heartbreak after a tragic medical emergency.
Samy Dawood—a devoted father, loving husband, and hardworking small business owner—suffered a massive stroke on December 19th that left him completely unresponsive and paralyzed. The stroke severely affected his middle brain, impacting both sides of his body and leaving him unable to move or speak. He is currently on a trache collar for breathing and a peg tube for feeding. While he has thankfully survived the worst, his journey to recovery is just beginning. Currently, he is only able to communicate through eye movements, with very limited mobility.
Right now, Samy is in an acute rehabilitation facility, but he is being sent home, where he will require 24/7 care. His wife, Amal, has had to make the heartbreaking decision to close their beloved crepe shop to care for him full-time. With Samy unable to work and Amal stepping away from their business, the family has lost their only source of income.
The Dawood family is a beautiful, loving, and cherished part of our lives, as well as the lives of so many others. Their warmth, kindness, and generosity have touched countless hearts, and now, in their time of need, we want to show them how much they mean to us. We are reaching out to ask for your kindness, generosity, and prayers. Every donation will help provide essential medical care and support for Samy’s recovery, easing the financial burden on Amal and their three wonderful children—Lorelai, Tristan, and Evan—during this incredibly difficult time. We refuse to give up hope—we believe in Samy’s strength, and with the right care and support, we know he can fight his way back.
If you are able, please consider donating and sharing this fundraiser. No amount is too small—every dollar, every share, and every prayer makes a difference. Let’s come together as a community to lift up this beautiful family and help Samy heal.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness and generosity!
