Hello everyone,

Many of you know may know Belma as a loving mother, wife, friend and even a local photographer!

Over the last seven years, Belma has battled a kidney disease that has grown increasingly aggressive. Last February, god blessed them with an unexpected fifth child, which seemed an impossible circumstance.

Unfortunately, her 2020 pregnancy was very complicated & dangerous. Many months were spent in the hospital, away from her family as she fought to keep her & their daughter healthy. After a seemingly never ending battle, and their premature daughters lengthy stay in the nicu, they decided to hang their hats & be grateful for their blessings, so no more pregnancies!

To say this current pregnancy (2022) was a shock would be an understatement… they were not prepared for the challenges to come. Belma has yet again, had to endure multiple kidney procedures & lengthy hospitalizations. She’s currently battling a sepsis infection in an Iowa City ICU for the second time in 3 months. This has affected Belmas Photography business. Her business has been severely impacted & damaged due to her sickness & health. As for Raleigh, who has been by her side at every step of the way, including overnight stays… his family always comes first, jeopardizing his job in the process. Unfortunately, this hinders their ability to fully support a house of 6 (soon to be 7). Bills and payments pile up as they spend their days juggling the Best they can. Her family misses her dearly. Her friends and loved ones cannot wait for her to return, but we’re unsure of when that will be.
