Help the Elladaa family rebuild their lives

Hi everyone,

My name is Eli, and I am a UCLA student, writer, and journalist. My dear friend Mohanad Elladaa is currently waiting to leave Gaza. We want to raise money for the exit fees to relocate the rest of his family from besieged Gaza to safety. They are currently living in a tent in Rafah with no access to food, electricity, or basic needs. Additionally, they are under constant bombardment by the Israeli army, as the army has began bombing tents in Rafah.

This campaign will go to Mohanad’s father Moamen, his mother Mervat, his sister Fatima, his brothers Karim and Kamal, and Kamal’s wife Iman. It will also go to his 4 nieces and nephews, all under sixteen with the youngest a little girl of six months. His mother suffers from back pain and needs urgent medical attention that she cannot receive in Gaza. His sister Fatima is also pregnant and due in July.

Like many in Gaza, the Elladaa family has lost close relatives. The uncle and aunt of Mohanad as well as many young cousins were killed by a targeted airstrike in Rafah on December 19, 2023.

The exit fee per person is approximately $9000 dollars (in the highest scenario), so this Gofundme will cover six exit fees with $1000 dollars to cover Gofundme platform fees and wire transfer fees. If there is any leftover money, it will pay for basic needs for the Elladaa family when they leave Gaza.
