Hurricane Helene Relief for Curate & La Bodega employees
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Christina Howington-Gurjian and I am a server and server trainer at Curate Tapas Bar in Asheville, NC. Myself, along with fellow server Ansley Smith and line cook Emily Eads, are spearheading this fundraiser to help our fellow coworkers.
As you may know, Western North Carolina was hit hard by Hurricane Helene on Friday, September 27th. The entirety of Western North Carolina was affected, with some places just completely wiped off the map.
Asheville’s water system will take weeks to repair, so it’s going to take a long time for things to get back to normal. Financial stress is the last thing anyone should worry about in the aftermath of this tragedy. There are 84 hourly employees at Curate and 38 at our sister restaurant La Bodega for a total of 122 people who need your help and could use the gift of your donation to help ease the financial burdens caused by such an event.
Any money donated will be split evenly between all of the hourly employees to help us out during this incredibly devastating weather event. Some employees' houses were destroyed and are no longer livable. So, this money donated, no matter how big or small, will go a long way and mean so much to all of us.
Only give if you can and please share if you can’t. As a community of service industry professionals, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
