Help the Escarate Family Recover from House Fire

3 days before Christmas, the Escarates (my brother-in-law's family) lost their home to a fire in Forestal in Vina del Mar, Chile. The news came after they had been forced to evacuate due to a forest fire that quickly spread to a residential area due to high winds. The fire quickly burned the house to the ground and left nothing left that could be salvaged.

Unfortunately, in Chile, it is not all that common to have homeowners’ insurance and the family will not be able to recover the value of their home or belongings.

Marcela is well-known in her community for her baking skills and delicious wedding cakes. Pablo is a logistics supervisor at a local plastic facility, and both are currently putting two of their kids through school.
