Help the Everitt family heal

My household sister and friend, Nicole Everitt, and family, have had a year that has drained them physically and financially and left them fighting for the life of their youngest son, Ignatius (Iggy). On July 27, 2020, Nicole fractured her leg while hiking with her family. At the time she was pregnant with their sixth child, Ignatius. After a slow recovery, come January, Nicole was ready to give birth to their son at home, with the help of her husband (an EMT) and trusted midwife. An unexpected uterine rupture left both Nicole and the baby near death. Nicole is working through the birth trauma with weekly EMDR sessions. On June 27, 2021, baby Iggy suddenly developed a seizure while the family was grocery shopping. He was hospitalized for six days, and after countless exams, labs and scans, given a preliminary diagnosis of hypopituitarism with cortisol and growth hormone deficiency. Nicole and her husband are struggling to manage Iggy's blood sugars, nursing and giving medication around the clock. A slip up could leave Iggy in a coma or worse. They are feeling desperate, and seeking a second opinion from experts at Cook Children's Endocrinology, for an accurate diagnosis and help managing Iggy's care. They are desperate to find answers, but buried under medical debt from the last year. Nicole and Chris have leaned heavily on Chris' overtime ambulance shifts for financial stability, but Chris has been unable to work overtime between the demand's of Iggy's medical appointments and care, and the needs of their other five children. Even with medical insurance, the medical bills are mounting, more than $13,000 already. Please help Nicole and Chris to get back on their feet, and to find a diagnosis and help for their baby, Iggy.
