Help me lift up my Sister Ashton & Evan’s dad Eric and their family during this difficult time. She’s living through so much pain and heartache. Ashton-

My heart is shattered. Our sweet Evan, who just turned 14, took his life. I’m devastated, angry, heartbroken, lost and probably many other words. He was an amazing son—so full of light and love—and I was just getting ready to pick him up for Thanksgiving next week. It doesn’t feel real, and we are completely broken.

I’m sharing this because I want to remind you to hug your kids, talk to them, and let them know they’re never alone. This world is hard, and they may have moments where they feel like it’s too much, but nothing is ever so bad that they should lose their life over it.

Thank you to everyone who’s reached out—we feel your love. Right now, our family is grieving and trying to process this. Your prayers mean so much to us. Please keep holding us close in your hearts. #suicideprevention
