Help 19 Families Displaced by Fire on Vermont St
Tax deductible
Late in the evening on November 30th, an explosion at 58 Vermont St in Cypress Hills, Brooklyn caused the home to catch fire, spreading to nearby buildings. The fire displaced 54 people (19 families) from their homes, injured 6 of our neighbors, and caused immense damage.
We are deeply grateful for the first responders who ensured that nobody was severely injured, or worse, in the fire. However, our neighbors need generous support in recovering from this devastating fire.
All funds raised by this page, organized by Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation and the Office of State Senator Julia Salazar, will go to the families who have been displaced by the fire. Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation will be collecting and administering the monetary donations among the families and providing support for them, especially as the holidays are approaching.
