Help Carol Truance of the Village of Port Chester
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Hope Vespia and I'm organizing a fundraiser to help my good friend and colleague Carol Truance.
Many of you know Carol has served the Town of Rye for 34 years in the tax office and is a beloved community volunteer.
She was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer a month ago and passed away on Saturday October 8, 2022. She worked full-time in August and is now no longer with us. Her illness was very aggressive and progressed so quickly!
Carol was committed to serving the Town of Rye and her community. Carol was the dedicated Deputy Tax Receiver for the Town of Rye where she has been employed for 34 years. It was her mission to provide the best service to the people of the Town of Rye. She was the President of the Westmore Twigs of United Hospital, an active member of the Port Chester Salvation Army and the Port Chester Lions Club. Carol was dedicated to her job and community. She made personal sacrifices for her family whom she lived life for. Now her family needs the community's help!
Carol is survived by her children Carl Truance and Christie Truance both of Port Chester, NY. Insurance does not cover all the related expenses and we are reaching out to all who know, love and appreciate Carol for who she is and all she has contributed in the hopes that we can all help Christie and Carl during this very difficult time.
