Help the family of Carter Ellis

From the family of Carter Ellis:

This is Carter. An awesome 10 year old who loves supercars, motorcross, Rocket League, @dudeperfect and his cat Enzo and puppy Ace.

His world forever changed after the discovery of a brain tumor on March 22, 2021. He endured a 7 hour successful brain surgery to remove the mass on March 25, 2021.

April 1, 2021 (no joke) pathology revealed a malignant grade 4 Glioblastoma with mismatch repair (Lynch Syndrome).

He has completed 33 rounds of radiation and is currently in a personalized medicine clinical trial which involves daily oral chemotherapy and every other week IV immunotherapy infusions.

Outside of the standard of care (surgery, radiation, chemotherapy) his family is adding in critical care (out of pocket). Child Life visits for both children to develop positive coping skills and work through tough emotions.

And then there are the therapies that the family has put off or halted because of the financial burden. 

Because there is no known cure the family will continue to endure medical expenses for the forseable future. Whitney often expresses how amazing this community is and she couldn’t imagine going through this without the love and support of their community behind strong Carter’s battle. As you can imagine it all adds up ridiculously fast. No one ever thinks it will be their own child enduring the unimaginable.
