Tim Hurley, LBK Homicide Victim

My Uncle was one of the victims' of the double homicide in Long Boat Key. While working his over night manager shift he and the security gaurd we're shot to death.  Tim was the most selfless man I knew; he was a dedicated son, brother, and my father figure. Tim lived with my grandmother, 2 aunts and mother in the home they collectively raised my cousin and I. They all lived together to be able to care and provide for my 85 year old grandmother and mentally ill mother (and previously to help raise me as my mom couldn't do it on her own). Grams has suffered 2 stokes and is paralyzed on her left side. My family relied on Tim to be able to lift, bathe, and transport her. She is in a bad state and is heartbroken. Beyond relying on Tim physically and emotionally my family also relied on him financially. The family car and home are both in Tim's name. My aunt for over 20 years has worked for the same hotel company as her brother did. She does not feel safe going back to work and is haunted of Tims memory behind the desk. My other aunt always worked but has been my Grandmothers 24 hour caregiver since she has needed one. Please help my family get through this difficult time. Any funds raised will used to obtain medical assistance for my grandmother and supplement the loss of income. Anything helps and is much appreciated. My family never expected anything to happen to Tim and were not prepared.
