On Tuesday, April 19, 2022, Jason Glenn Muegge, loving son, brother, and uncle, was discovered deceased, unexpectedly, at his home at the age of 38. Jason was born on July 27, 1983 in Houston, Texas. He attended Kingwood School in  Kingwood, Texas and graduated from the Woodlands High School, in The Woodlands, Texas in 2001.  He earned the highest Boy Scouts of America rank, Eagle Scout.   He worked in the finance department of The Salvation Army for a few years and did very well, working and attending important meetings with the City of Houston, and numerous sponsors. He had a number of different jobs, but really found his niche when he and his partner, Aaron Parson, opened La Petite Patisserie.  They were a really accomplished team. When Aaron passed in 2020, Jason found his next calling in the medical field.  He really enjoyed making a difference in the ICU setting, helping the nurses and patients at HCA Kingwood.   Jason had a passion for music.  From an early age he enjoyed music, was quite the accomplished violinist, and had a varied taste in all kinds of music. He and Aaron enjoyed a good collection of albums. Jason was an avid reader, and enjoyed collecting too many books, and reading them.  He had a great sense of humor, enjoying telling a really funny story and having a good laugh.  He enjoyed being outdoors, riding bikes, camping, canoeing, and fishing.  He also had an eclectic taste in paintings, furniture and clothes. He could pick up languages very easily and was fluent in Spanish, with a working knowledge of German, and a few others.  He was very kind and compassionate.  I knew him to give the change out of his couch to someone who was in need, even though he needed it. Jason was preceded in death by his life partner, Aaron Parson, his grandfathers Thomas W. Herring, Calvin Smith, and his grandparents Marvin and Ann Muegge.  He is survived by his  mother and stepfather, Lisa and Mickey Reynolds, his father, Glenn Muegge,  grandmother, Joan Herring, his uncles, James A. Herring and Philip O. Herring, Scott Newton, aunts Roxanna Herring, Linda Falk, Peggy McGinnes, Carol Newton, numerous cousins and extended family. At this time, instead of funeral arrangements, please go to memorials.birdsongcremations.com to leave your memories of Jason when it is available for use.
