Help the Fletcher Family Rebuild After house fire.

To my friends, family, and strangers, my name is Jordan.

Last night, around 8 p.m., my parents’ house was devastated by a fire. Within just a couple of minutes, the bedroom and hallway were engulfed in flames. Forcing my mom and niece to jump out of a bedroom window, as it became their only exit.

My mom, niece, nephew, two dogs, and I all made it out safely, but the fire left multiple rooms destroyed. The kids cried and screamed, terrified of losing the home they were raised in, while the amazing men and women from the fire department put out the flames.

We are thankful for the quick response of the Tacoma Fire Department and their efforts to ensure the safety of our family.

This is the home we all grew up in, now sitting without electricity, debris covering the floor, and a smell that turns our stomachs.

We lost precious items—school clothes for the kids, household items, furniture, medications, and photos.

Our situation is made even more difficult as our father, who is recovering from a major surgery earlier this month, needs assistance and cannot get around on his own.

We’re raising funds to cover essential needs like temporary housing, clothes, and medications while we work to restore my parents’ home.

Any support, whether a donation or a share, would mean the world as we try to rebuild the home we grew up in.
