Help the Flood Victims of the Telegraph Fire

Donation protected

On July 29, 2021, the area of Globe-Miami, Arizona was hit by extreme flooding that caused damage to countless homes and businesses. Many of these buildings had 2 feet of water inside and suffered thousands of dollars in damage, not to mention the mud that was left behind. Shop vacs have been provided by the local police department, but some of the damage goes way beyond that. Stores are still full of mud and the inventory is now turning moldy, some residents lost their homes, and other residents still have portions of their houses they are unable to use due to water and mud. One of these is a 75-year-old Miami resident suffering from terminal cancer who is unable to sleep in her bedroom, another is an 81-year-old disabled Miami resident who is trapped in her house by water. There are many more stories of people who are suffering. Help from the town and outside organizations has been fairly minimal. Cleaning kits were provided and community members helped with mucking, but so much more is still needed. The state government isn't providing adequate help and it is still unclear if a state of emergency has been declared. Pleas to the Arizona governor have gone unanswered. These people need your help NOW. We thank you for anything you can give and we will appreciate if you can share our fundraiser. Once the money is collected, a group of community members will work with the residents of how it will be disbursed.
