Help The Galliford's KICK CANCER'S ASS!!

Hi. I am setting up this go fund me page on behalf of our best friend Kim and her husband Jesse. Jesse and Kim are a hard-working family. Jesse has an older daughter Talia, and Kim has an older daughter Brianna. Together they raise their young daughter Paisley who is 6 years old, and also Jesse’s grandson, Lucas, who is 3 years old, whom they have guardianship over and are in the process of adopting. Through all the many CPS meetings and setbacks they have never given up on adoption. It’s been a three-year process so far and they are both still working hard to finalize the adoption.
Jesse works in northern Alberta and Kim works two jobs supporting people with disabilities, while still managing to care for their children. Their children are their world. On June 24th, Jesse was home with the kids alone while Kim was at work. He got up to go to the bathroom, where he blacked out and woke up on the floor and a hole in the wall. He had no idea what happened. He went to Devon emergency hospital, where after 2 CT SCANS, and blood work, he was told he had cancer. A week later he had a biopsy and it was confirmed that Jesse has a rare cancer. STAGE 4 GASTROINTESTINAL STROMA TUMOUR. Jesse has a tumour in his stomach that is 10x10x8.2 cm big that has metastasized to his liver where they found 3 more lesions and another 4 cm tumour, but not so uncommon for this type of cancer. It has also spread to his lymph nodes.
We are all devastated by this news. Jesse will be spending a lot of time at the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton starting this upcoming Monday and this is where his journey begins. Jesse will not be able to return to work for quite some time as he will need surgery and targeted therapy and chemo. Hopefully, he will be accepted for some clinical trials. There are two specialists in all of Alberta who deal with this kind of cancer and they are in Calgary and they are hoping to reach out to them through the life raft group.
Tammy, Jodi, and I want to help them. Our heart hurts so much for them. This was a huge blow for all of us, but an even bigger blow for them. Jesse was the breadwinner and has been off work for a month now. Although Kim works so hard there is no way she can keep up with everything on her own. She will have a difficult time supporting Jesse at every appointment and hospital , while trying to work and keep her children’s daily needs intact.
Kim is worried about her babies and keeping their routine is important to her. She’s an amazing mother and an incredibly hard worker, and as much as she tries , she can’t do this on her own. We don’t want her to stress about the bills and daily expenses while trying to keep everything together for Jesse and the kids. It’s too much for anyone to bare.
We want Jesse to concentrate on kicking cancer’s ass! They have a lot on their shoulders right now.
Our best friend and her family deserve the help. Jesse has been out of work now for almost a month and Kim is working nonstop to try to make ends meet. Please consider helping Jesse and Kim through this difficult journey placed on them so they can concentrate on beating this cancer. Those precious babies need their daddy.
Thank you to everyone who can help. We understand times are hard and we appreciate any help at all. We will keep you updated on his journey as soon as we know the updates.
Respectfully,
Tracey, Tammy & Jodi.
