Help the Gasa Gasa staff!
Donation protected
Gasa Gasa has closed until further notice leaving the bar staff without this source of income.
Before anyone asks, the reason for the closure is due to the owners not being able to afford to keep it open and unable to sell the business to someone who would keep it going.
The closure was told to staff 24 hours before closure (to be clear, this was NOT the fault of management)
I know we’re all in a tough spot, but please consider donating or sharing the GFM as the staff is in an even tighter spot and will need something to help while we find other sources of income.
I just want to leave on this note, as I am not only a native New Orleanian but also have been involved in live music/entertainment for a lonnnng time: I’m begging the community to show up for shows, stop asking to be on the guest list, buy a drink (even if it’s a soda!), buy merch (even if it’s a sticker!), the live entertainment industry cannot be around if YOU’RE not around! New Orleans is rich in culture and a lot of that culture is the music! As a community, I just ask we work on keeping it alive. We will lose so many more spaces if we don’t show up!
As always, thank you for reading and hopefully it’s just “smell ya later” and we’ll see you again
