Help the Gem State Falcons continue playing!

The Gem State Falcons need your support. We are Idaho's first wheelchair basketball team, promoting the endless possibilities for ALL to enjoy sports and recreation. The Gem State Falcons are registered with the NWBA, National Wheelchair Basketball Association. Our team is in its first season and has participated in three tournaments out of state in Spokane, Sacramento, and Tuscon. We enjoyed the competition and are continually improving our skills. Next year our goal is to add a few more tournaments and to go to Nationals and represent the Gem State proudly!
As a first-year team, you can imagine the cost to make this happen. A basketball wheelchair alone costs $4000, let alone basketballs, jerseys for the team, and gym rental to practice. Being Idaho's first and only wheelchair basketball team currently, the Gem State Falcons must travel out of state to compete in tournaments. This adds even more expenses for our team with the cost to travel to out-of-state tournaments. We are putting on our first annual basketball tournament this weekend and again there are many costs involved with this as well. Our annual operating expenses to keep our team going and competing at a high level are upwards of $40,000.
Your donation today will be greatly appreciated! We encourage you to come out and cheer on Idaho's Gem State Falcons on February 18th and 19th! Our First Annual City of Trees Basketball Invitational will be held at our home gym at 9492 W. Emerald Street, Boise, Idaho 83704. We have teams coming in from California, Washington, and Arizona to compete. You will be in for a treat as these athletes are fun and amazing to watch on the court!
The Gem State Falcons are now a part of the newly formed Idaho Adaptive Sports (IAS). IAS's focus will be the continued success of the Falcons and also on helping people throughout Idaho make connections within the state and beyond for adaptive opportunities.
