Help The Giordano Family

With great sadness, and heavy hearts, we regretfully announce the passing of retired San Bernardino City Fire Captain Tony Giordano. He passed away on July 23, 2021.

Born February 4, 1980, Tony’s Mother and Father, Dana and Steven Giordano, instilled a ferocious love for others from the beginning. Growing up in Torrance, California, he would grow to be the quintessential Southern California coastal boy. His passion for the outdoors, the ocean and active lifestyle would only grow deeper as the years went on. He quickly understood the power of relationships built through experiences and selflessness, as he navigated his younger years and mentoring his two younger brothers, Nick and Jared, along the way. That brotherly bond, and his athletically heavy upbringing, would deeply instill a teamwork centric approach in all that he did. He knew his destiny would only lead to helping others in their greatest times of need. Although his interest in the fire service was known before even leaving high school, his ability to save and heal wouldn’t be limited just by his professional boundaries.

Tony met his wife, Krystle, in 2007 after a couple of would-be matchmakers thought they should meet. Sparks were immediate and he knew without hesitation, that she was the one. A whirlwind romance would lead to marriage on September 13, 2008. They would later build a real estate business together and as a surprise to no one, he employed much of his fire service command and control practices. He would be recognized for the fire engine he bought and used as an innovative real estate marketing tool during various community outreaches. He became a community pilar during the annual Christmas, Fourth of July, Easter and Halloween fire engine parades and made every attempt to give-back wherever he could in those travels as well.

Tony always knew he wanted a big family and couldn’t wait to begin that family with the love of his life. Their three children, 8-year-old daughter Isabella, 6-year-old daughter Abigail and 2-year-old son Tony Jr. were his greatest treasures. Anything they wanted, they got. The word “No” simply didn’t exist and as Tony did in all aspect of his life, would make their desires reality in the biggest, best, most passionate way he possibly could. As Krystle had made known, he was the BEST husband and “Disneyland” Dad to ever be.

Tony was deeply passionate about God, his community, his church, business, friendship, Cross-fit, running, surfing, eating, and being a black belt in Ji-Jitsu. He was truly larger than life and his reach extended far and wide. The foundation of hope for so many, much of his routine conversations and kind gestures often served as life altering moments for those he touched. He lived life without fear and challenged adversity head on. His legacy will inspire, empower and continue to save others for an eternity to come.

Your generosity is truly appreciated to ease the financial burden for this beautiful family during this difficult time.
