Supporting the Girard Family
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and the Pembroke community,
It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing the passing of Cheryl Girard. For those of you that had the pleasure of knowing her, you knew that she was a fighter. Cheryl fought her colorectal cancer diagnosis until the very end, for each last special moment shared with her family and dearest friends. She ended her long, courageous fight on October 12th, 2021 surrounded by her treasured loved ones.
Cheryl was one of those people that would do anything for anyone. Her friends and her family were her entire world. She lived to help others and enriched the lives of everyone she came across. Cheryl was an active participant in her community, volunteering with the Bryantville PTO and working as a co-chair of holiday workshops, fall festivals, field days, and many other events while her children were in elementary school. She served as a crossing guard, aid, and librarian at Bryantville Elementary. In middle school and high school, she once again devoted her efforts to PTO work, volunteering for many different events. She loved the beach, scrapbooking, Jimmy Buffet, and simply spending time with those she loved the most—her friends and family. Cheryl bravely fought for more time with these people, surpassing each and every diagnostic timeline she was given by her doctors. If anyone deserved to beat her incurable disease, it was Cheryl. She brightened the lives of so many with her sense of humor, compassion for others, and selflessness. With her untimely passing, heaven gained an angel.
The expenses associated with a proper funeral service and burial is a financial burden that the Girard family was not prepared for. For this reason, I am reaching out to you, her family, friends, and community in hopes that you will show your support in this unimaginably difficult time.
Thank you so much for considering making a donation and taking the time to read about the amazing life of Cheryl.
