Help the Godwins during this difficult time.

Hi, my name is Alex. I’m raising funds to help Christopher Godwin and his family as he begin chemo therapy to treat stage 4 cancer. Chris had to stop working because of his condition. His wife, Ayana, is missing a lot of work to care for Chris. They have school aged children and is also caring for his mother who has health challenges. Chris and Ayana have always worked to provide for their family so this drastic change in their lives has been very stressful financially. They recognize the long road ahead of them as the cancer treatments begin, all of which will occur weekly, over an hour and a half from their home. Our hope is that they are able to concentrate on Chris’ treatment and recovery without worrying about bills, food and overall finances for a few months. The funds raised will help to pay for travel and lodging while receiving treatment, food for the family, outstanding bills accumulated due to work missed, and most importantly, to pay for incidentals that they should not have to worry about during this hardship.

Those that know Chris, can vouch for his witty, funny and welcoming personality. This disease has taken a toll on his overall spirit, yet his main concern has been for everyone around him to be happy and not to worry about him. His forced smiles have been an attempt to disguise his pain and keep his loved ones from feeling down.

Let’s put a smile on his face and show Ayana and their kids that they are loved.
