CHRISTINE GOFF... Only 54yrs old

CHRISTINE'S STORY....
Christine met her husband Jeff Goff in high school in Fulton, Mo., where they became sweethearts. After high school, Jeff joined the Navy. She married her high school sweetheart and started their life together. They moved to California for a bit when he served his country. After he got out of the Navy, they moved back home to Fulton, Mo. They have been married 34 years now and are still going strong... (great accomplishment anymore..)

They have 2 girls together, Samantha and Bridgette. The girls need their mom to help them with issues that come up in this thing we call life. Even just to chat on the phone a bit, or a long time, she is always there. If they are down or have good news, Christine was always there to help pick them up when they are down or praise them when good happens in their life. No matter what age our kids are, they will always need their mom.

Then the girls gave her 4 grandbabies. They are the light of her life, her everything. She loves the time she has with them, playing, laughing, swimming with them. God handed her a blessing when he gave them to her as her grandkids. They are young still and need her, as they need their parents, to help them grow, learn, and help guide them through this life they have been given. They do miss her SO much when she is gone in the hospital. Many phone calls and FaceTime, but we know this is not the same.

In late summer of 2024, Christine wasn't feeling well. Then, in September of 2024, she was diagnosed with Myelodysplasia (medical word for pre-leukemia, blood cancer).
She spent a month at University Hospital, in a totally sterile room, where they totally depleted her immune system, in Columbia, Mo.
She was blessed to come home over Christmas and New Year's. She got some much-needed quiet family time. Now, she will be headed to Barnes Hospital in St. Louis for further treatment, which includes a bone marrow transplant. She will be at Barnes for at least a month, in the sterile room again, to deplete her immune system again and for the marrow transplant. Then, when released, she has to stay close to the hospital for 3 to 4 months more. She has friends in the area, so she has a place to stay. Just the cost of supplies and medication is crazy.

They need all the help she can get for not only medical stuff that she needs, that is being done, but even gas, and the cost of gas is a lot now. Her husband, Jeff Goff, is working as much as he can. But just the gas and food while he is on the road to see her and his side family. His father is in rehab and is trying to heal from a broken ankle at 92 years old, and 2 sisters, who are also battling cancer, in Tennessee. This is depleting the savings fast while he is trying to keep normal bills paid. That is 3 people in his life that he loves dearly who are battling cancer. Dad is still at Columbia doing his rehab, while Christine is in St. Louis. So miles are adding up quickly...
