Help the Gomez family recover from fire!
While most families gather to celebrate Fourth of July and have a great time, Jose and Valerie Gomez are tragically living a nightmare. Around 10 p.m. on July 3rd, Mr. Gomez fell asleep watching t.v. in the living room with his wife, sleeping in their bedroom. They woke up to screaming and banging on their windows. Having heard shouts of “Your house is on fire! Get out!”, Jose immediately ran to get Valerie and their dog, Sadie.
This family will have to move from the only home they have known for the past twenty years due to the negligence of fireworks they were not involved in. They lost everything they owned, including a work truck filled with tools and supplies that are critical to Mr. Gomez’s livelihood. They are currently having to stay in a hotel, until they find other accommodations. We are asking for donations for them to start anew. They will be needing hygiene products, clothing, furniture, as well as a new residence and vehicle. Anything helps, and if you are unable to help, even your prayers are greatly appreciated.
