Help the Gonzalez Family Keep Their Home

My name is Etna Aldazabal-Gonzalez. My family in the United States consists simply of four individuals: myself, my mother, my father and my sister. Over the years we’ve traveled all over Miami to find a perfect fit for a perfect space. After years, in 2012 we found our forever home. The home wasn’t in the greatest condition, but my dad flipped it to his best ability and made it a HOME for us.

 

My family has had their struggles financially but have always taught us to work hard and heavy for anything we’ve ever needed. Like supporting us through college, sports and the list goes on. Sadly, hard work in this situation has helped but not enough.

 

About two weeks ago, my parents got the news that our home is in the risk of being taken away from us due to the fact that other people are willing to buy it for a price that simply isn’t reasonable for a low income family like ours. My parents have looked all over Miami for any home, apartment or even efficiency but sadly, we cannot afford and the apartments/efficiencies  do not allow our three pets.

 

Our realtor gave us the option to put down a down payment of $25,000 otherwise we have a month to vacate from the home in which we thought our parents were going to see their retirement, grow older & wiser, and even see and take care of their grandchildren.
