Help the Gremillion Family Rebuild Their Home
Dearest friends and family,
I am Gaby Hicks, one of Blaire Levy Gremillion's childhood friends. I grew up with Blaire in Mandeville, LA but I now live in Brevard, NC. I have watched from afar as Hurricane Ida caused so many families and communities to suffer unbelievable loss and destruction. Blaire and David are one of these families who have lost everything from this storm. Their home in Covington, LA, which they purchased less than a year ago, was completely devastated. Not only did several massive pine trees fall on their home causing structural disaster, but flood water and rain have ruined the rest of their belongings. They were heartbroken to learn the extent of their loss and now must start over from scratch as they begin to move forward with their life. These images don't even grasp the full scope of the damage.
Blaire and David have one child named Charles, and another baby on the way due in February. This family's needs are great right now. Blaire told me they only brought about two weeks worth of belongings with them when they evacuated to Atlanta. Right now they need to replace literally everything for their home and themselves, as well as for Charles and the new baby. They do not know any timeline for when they will receive payment from their insurance policy nor do they have any idea what amount of loss will be covered.
I know how many people love David and Blaire. They are dear friends to so many of us. Please let's rally together to support them in any way that we can during this stressful and overwhelming time. We can hopefully provide them a buffer and some breathing room while they figure out what to do next.
A burden shared is a burden lightened.
Much gratitude and love to you all,
Gaby Hicks
