Help the Grilled Cheese Truck

This campaign is for the Original Grilled Cheese Truck. This pandemic has been hard on everyone. It has completely changed what was our “normal” and has affected all of us in so many different ways. I am starting this campaign to help out one of the community’s favorite food trucks. The Grilled Cheese Truck has been a favorite of so many for so many years with all of its melty yumminess. Unfortunately, we are facing closing our doors at the end of July. I am hoping that the community will give back to this business that has given so much joy to everyone over the years.
Our owner, Justin Brill, has been a Franchisee of the trucks since 2012 and has poured his heart and soul into this business. I have had the absolute pleasure to work as the bookings manager here for nearly 2 years and it has been the best and most rewarding professional experience I have ever had. This truck has personally impacted me in so many ways. Justin gave me the opportunity to join his team in 2018 and it changed my life just as he has helped change the lives of so many others. This job was my first full time job while in recovery after spending the beginning of 2018 in treatment for alcohol abuse. I have grown so much and learned so many lessons that I will carry with me forever. Justin has given so many opportunities to people, like me, in recovery and has willingly and happily helped when those that may find it difficult to find employment. Many of you may not know this, but many of the people employed here over the years have been in recovery. He has been a huge part of our sobriety and we will forever be grateful for all the help and understanding he has given myself and many others. Now I am hoping that we can call on our community to give back to him.
He has fought very hard to keep the business open and going under such extraordinary circumstances. He made all of us here one of his top priorities, doing everything possible to ensure that we had a place to come to work, that our paychecks would clear and making sure that our loyal followers could depend on us by providing a place to eat. With the majority of our business coming from large events such as corporate catering's, film/TV productions, and large festivals, the truck has taken a hard hit with all those events being cancelled or indefinitely on hold
I am very lucky to have worked so closely with him because I have witnessed firsthand his good nature and love for what he does and the community he has served, from donating to the first responders, feeding the homeless, donating back to schools and other events. He always has taken care of his employees and customers and has never expected or asked for anything in return. If you could please donate to Justin and the Grilled Cheese Truck, this would go along way towards repaying vendors, alleviating debt and allowing one of Los Angeles' favorite food trucks to serve to melt another day.
