Help the Gustafson-Weaver Family

Donation protected
In the devastating Eaton fire, the Gustafson-Weaver family lost use of their Altadena home, which, while standing, has been partially – possibly irreparably – damaged from the fire that took nearly all other homes around it.

For now, the house is uninhabitable and surrounded by hazardous material from the fire itself and from fire abatement efforts. No cleanup or other improvements can begin until surrounding lots are cleared. While they feel fortunate to have a standing structure, it is very likely they won't be able to live in the house for years to come.

The Gustafson-Weaver family are still under evacuation orders and are learning a lot about wildfires, house fires, contamination, remediation, and raising a daughter in a disaster zone. They safely evacuated Altadena and are now in Long Beach for the next few months while they determine the best next steps for their family.

Your help will allow Eric and Jenn to address the many aspects of recovery and support them through this crisis. If you know a friend in Long Beach that understands the rental market, your non-monetary introduction is appreciated there too.

Eric and Jenn look forward to paying it forward and resuming helping others when they can.
Thank you.
